Background:

The Rocky Mountain Mock Trial teams competed in the district competition on Friday & Saturday.

This is the first year in a long time that we have had enough students for 2 teams!

The team is coached by 3 incredible local attorneys: Nathan Hansen,  Ashley Barber, and Lynzi Maas.

Every year the bar association writes a case for students to study and practice their legal skills.

Students are assigned either a witness or attorney role and learn to portray that role to the best of their ability.

The students have been preparing since October for this competition, practicing multiple times a week at the Larimer County Justice Center.

This year there was 21 total teams from across Northern Colorado (up from 13 the year before).

In order to qualify for the State competition (March 14-15 in Pueblo), we had to place within the top 4.

The other 2 teams that qualified were from Windsor.

This is the 4th straight year of placing 1st, and 6 straight years of making it to state!
