About Me

Short Personal Description:

I grew up in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Up until July of 2015, I had spent my entire life there. I am a huge sports fan! Love my Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls, and Cubs!

Educational and Professional Background:

I went to Northern Illinois University and received both my Bachelors degree as well as my Masters degree from NIU. The 2024-2025 school year will be my 21th year in education. Ten of my first eleven years were all spent at the high school I graduated from. I spent the first 5 years as a high school math teacher then the next 6 years as an administrator in the role of the mathematics division head at my school. This will be my 10th year as Assistant Principal at Rocky.

What does the Lobo Way mean to me?:

The Lobo Way means being part of something bigger than yourself; to be be supportive, welcoming and helpful. The feel of this building is like nothing I have previously experienced in my teaching career. There is a sense of family that makes me feel like this is home. I could not be more proud to call myself a Lobo and be part of the Lobo Way!

Interest & Hobbies:

I really enjoy spending time outside which could be hiking, hanging out with friends, or even grilling out on the patio. In the great state of Colorado, there are seemingly endless ways to enjoy the great outdoors!

Favorite Quote:

The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack of will.
