Short Personal Description:

I have been teaching at Rocky since 2006, and I graduated from RMHS in 1999. My family has been a part of the Fort Collins community for a long, long time and most of my family graduated from a PSD school. I am married, my wife is an elementary school teacher in PSD, and my step kids both attend schools in PSD. I chose to come back to Fort Collins and teach at Rocky because of the appreciation I have for what Rocky has provided my family and me.  I love Rocky and hope to help provide the same opportunities, quality education and supportive environment that I received while a student here.   Beyond teaching I am also a member of RMHS football staff.

Educational and Professional Background:

I graduated from Hasting College in 2004 with degrees in both Journalism and English Education.  After graduation I work as a football coach at Hastings College for two years.  During that time I earned a Master's degree in Special Education.  In the fall of 2006 I began teaching at Rocky.

What does the Lobo Way mean to me?:

It is a commitment to ourselves and to each other to be the best that we can be in order to make our school and community the best it can be. It is grounded in a philosophy that we are not solely measured in accomplishments and awards but in how he reached those accomplishments. For me personally, that means that each day I am dedicated to being the best parent, husband, son, brother, friend, teacher, student and coach I can be.

Honors & Awards:

I was nominated and won the Poudre School District Promising Teacher award in 2009.

Favorite Quote:

"The Price of success is hard work, dedication to the job at hand, and the determination that whether we win or lose, we have applied the best of ourselves to task at hand." --Vince Lombardi
