I have been teaching vocal music in Colorado since January 2002, but have been at Rocky Moutain High School since the fall of 2012. I live in Loveland with my husband, Christopher, and my two children, Adam and Allie.
I graduated cum laude from Colorado State University in December 2001 with a degree in music education. From there, I began my teaching career at Estes Park Middle School and High School. In the fall of 2005, I began a new job in the Thompson School District where I taught elementary music and high school choir. After discovering that I most definitely prefer teaching secondary music, I was very pleased to be hired at Lesher Middle School for the 2006-2007 school year where I remained until transferring to Rocky in 2012. I received my masters degree in conducting from Colorado State University in December 2011.
Personally, I enjoy singing with the Rocky Mountain Chamber Singers in Loveland and Fort Collins. I also enjoy reading a good book and trying new recipes for my family to enjoy. I love to entertain in my home, but rarely find the time to do so! With my family, I enjoy supporting my children at their sporting events, such as football, lacrosse, karate, and dance competitions. We also enjoy boating both in Colorado and Minnesota, as well as traveling to new places.
