VOLLEYBALL MEETING - MONDAY, MARCH 26 @ 3:00 PM IN ROOM 513

Rocky girls interested in playing volleyball for Rocky should plan to attend an important meeting on Monday, March 26 at 3:00 pm in Room 513.

Junior Students,

The state SAT will be held Tuesday, April 10th at RMHS.  All Juniors will take this free college admissions and state test.  Juniors have the option of filling out an interest questionnaire prior to taking the test.  The questionnaire will take about an hour and College Board will use the results to connect student information to colleges and other organizations.  Again, this questionnaire is optional.  If you choose to complete it, you may receive many unsolicited emails from colleges and other organizations.  If you would like to complete it, you must return a form signed by both parent and student to one of the questionnaire sessions.  The form is in your email. Questionnaire sessions are either Wednesday, March 28th from 8:00-9:00 am in room 305 OR Thursday, March 29th from 3:00-4:00 in room 221 (behind the library).  All students will be bubbling in name/address information as well as selecting up to four colleges to send their scores to for free on the day of the test.  Please see your counselor with any questions.

Senior Students

The mandatory Senior/Parent meeting will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2018 and start promptly at 7:00 pm in the main gym.  Senior bulletins will be ready for pick up beginning at 6:30 p.m. that evening. At this meeting, we will be sharing important information regarding graduation events.  Your student’s senior bulletin is full of graduation information and important for you to keep. Senior bulletins cannot be picked up by siblings or friends, only a parent/guardian or the senior student.  Please call Erin Murray with questions, 970-488-7015.

The Senior Class Panoramic Pictures will be taken on Wednesday, April 4th at 6:30 PM in the gym. This is the ONLY time pictures will be taken of the whole Senior class, so please make sure your student is in school and on time for this special event. Students will receive order forms on picture day.  The order deadline for the best price will be Sunday, April 8th. Additional information is available at www.BestClassPicture.com

Seniors—do you have a college admission deadline in December or early- to mid-January? Allow 2 working weeks for processing.  For example, if you have a January 1st deadline, please turn in your request form by December 11th. Don’t forget to talk to your teachers ahead of time if you need a letter of recommendation. Teachers also need at least 2 school weeks of notice to write a letter, a friendly reminder about deadlines, and a thank you note afterward.

Seniors—have you completed the FAFSA?  It is not too late!  We recommend that ALL seniors who are considering college, community college, tech schools, etc. to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. It is free, online, and only takes about 30 minutes to finish (once you have your tax/financial materials gathered). Go to https://fafsa.gov/ to get started.

Please note: if you are not legally documented in the US, we recommend you work directly with your college(s) rather than complete the FAFSA---see your counselor.
