DaRahn began playing piano at the age of 5 while sitting alongside her older sister while she practiced. She grew up in a small town in North Dakota and is thankful for the opportunity to accompany and play organ in both church and school during her middle and high school years. She attended Valley City State University on a music scholarship. While in college she majored in general music education with a focus on the saxophone and the piano while maintaining both church and accompanist positions. DaRahn graduated with a Bachelors Degree in K-12 Music Education in 1995.
DaRahn taught in both elementary and secondary schools prior to welcoming her first son into the world in 1999. At that time DaRahn pursued accompanist and church positions as well as opened her private piano studio. Most recently DaRahn returned to teaching for a couple years and was reminded of how much work teachers put in and therefore decided to return to accompanying.
DaRahn and her husband Grant have 3 boys. These days her favorite times are those when they manage to be all together in the same room laughing and sharing stories of their lives. In addition to three boys the Lebahns have 3 dogs who keep the house and family full of love and laughter.
