Short Personal Description:
Hello, my name is Julia Robinson and I am the English language development teacher. This means I work with all students that learned any other language besides English as their first language. I lived two years in a third world country that does not speak English, so I experienced the struggles and discomforts of not being able to communicate in the country's native language, much like the majority of my students and their families experience here.
Educational and Professional Background:
- Completed my undergraduate degree at CSU with a degree in English education
- Completed my graduate degree at UNC with a masters in culturally and linguistically diverse education
- Taught in Greeley for one year, in Dominican Republic for two years, and this is my second year at Rocky
Courses currently teaching at Rocky and previous courses taught at Rocky:
I currently teach ELD 3, ELD 4, mind center, and support students in their mainstream classes.
Interest & Hobbies:
My interests and hobbies include traveling, learning about new cultures and languages, anything involving adventure or a new experience, hiking, reading, spending time with my family and friends, exercising, and playing with my dog.
