State Champion *National Qualifier PSD Media RetreatOn Friday, 1/19/24, students from FCHS, PHS, RMHS, FRHS, and TMHS collaborated with district video teachers and industry professionals in the inaugural PSD Media Retreat. The event was hosted at the Future Ready Center, where students worked in collaborative teams to produce 60-second films. The retreat culminated in a mini film festival, where the films were screened and assessed by participants.
Holiday Stocking at the Lincoln CenterOn December 18th, the Rocky Music Program performed their annual Holiday Stocking at the Lincoln Center. Give Next 2023 Kickoff Day at CSU!Through the Give Next program, local businesses, foundations, and individuals become classroom donors by providing each participating school with $5,000 to award to nonprofits in Larimer County, Colorado. With the financial support of these generous donors, students design and manage their own grantmaking programs. Adopt A Family 2023Thank you, Lobo Community, for your participation in the 28th Annual Adopt-A-Family program. We were able to support 68 families with a total of 314 people. It was hugely successful, and we are so grateful for everyone’s support. DECA Districts at CSURocky had 115 students compete at DECA Districts at CSU on November 14 with 21 state qualifiers. Students compete by taking a 100 question exam and performing two problem-solving role-plays with judges. State DECA is in February at the Broadmoor where 2,500 students will continue to develop business skills through networking, workshops, and competitions. Lobos Rock Junior Achievement Stock Market ChallengeGiant screens, frenzied traders, and 60 days of simulated trading condensed into 80 minutes. The Junior Achievement (JA) Stock Market Challenge: Corporate Event is a fun competition and opportunity for companies to support financial education for kids in our community.
