The R-word is the word 'retard(ed)'. Why does it hurt? The R-word hurts because it is exclusive. It's offensive. It's derogatory.

|Unified Basketball - February 27th, 2014||
Rocky hosted it's first ever Unified Basketball game against Fossil Ridge HS on Thursday, February 27th.
Dedicated to promoting social inclusion through shared sports training and competition experiences, Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team. It was inspired by a simple principle: training together and playing together is a quick path to friendship and understanding.

|National History Day 2014 - Regional Competition||
32 students represented RMHS for NHD this year. The Regional competition was held at UNC on Saturday, March 1st.
The State competition will be held at the CU Denver, Auraria Campus on Saturday, May 3rd.

GSA had a booth at the annual Wellness Day event on February 20th at RMHS. A "Guess Who" activity helped to educate students on Transgener stereotypes.
|Adopt A Family||
Adopt a Family is a school-wide service project that was started by a Rocky student in 1996 and continues to be coordinated by students and staff members. Homerooms and school organizations adopt a family and try to fill as many needs as possible on each family’s checklist. Truly, everyone at Rocky gets involved in this project in some way or another. We even have some community organizations and alumni that volunteer to sponsor our families.
