REQUIRED FOR ALL ATHLETIC SEASONS….ATHLETIC FEE IS REQUIRED BEFORE ORANGE “PERMIT TO PRACTICE” CARD IS ISSUED.

Athletic orange “permit to practice” cards for spring sports will not be issued until after first semester is completed (mid January)once all 2018-2019 athletic paperwork has been completed AND proof of payment has been produced (receipt or copy of receipt). This will be enforced for all sports, as well as cut sports (of which athletic fee will be returned).

HASN’T THAT ALWAYS BEEN TRUE????  YES AND NO. It’s always been true,  this is the second year of enforcing this BEFORE athlete try-outs/participates!  Proof of payment will be required at time of orange card issuance.  If no proof of payment, yet all athletic paperwork is turned in, no issuance of orange card until proof is produced.

WHAT IF I HAVE FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH?

You have to be approved, which has to happen at the beginning of each new school year, prior to issuance of yellow card.

For eligible payment items to be waived, students must have qualified for free or reduced-priced meals AND the parent or guardian with educational rights must have completed the Permission to Share Information for Fee Waivers and Programs to Receive Goods and Services form.

WHAT IF I AM TRYING OUT FOR A CUT SPORT…Do I have to pay before tryouts?  YES.  Once team roster has been determined, reimbursement will be made by way of original payment (i.e. if you paid by cash/check, reimbursed by cash/check.  If paid by credit card, reimbursed by credit card).

SPRING ATHLETES

All athletes, new and returning, must read the Participation and Fees and Athletic Eligibility information (https://rmh.psdschools.org/athletics/participation-fees). Athletes are responsible for knowing these policies.  Forms and proof of payment needed to receive a permit to practice card must be printed out/completed and turned in to the Athletic Secretary (Rosalyn Seale) before February 25.  Incomplete paperwork will delay participation.  Yellow permit to practice cards will be issued in January.

Conditioning/Camps for most sports begin mid-January (see below for specific sports info). Official start date for 2019 spring sports is Feb. 25th.

If you are an athlete that has not participated in a sport in 2018/19, you must turn in all appropriate paperwork to get "Permit to Practice" card. Please do not wait until Feb. 25th to get your card!!!

If already an athlete this school year, be sure to stop by the Athletic Secretary's desk to pick up card for this sports season!!! Incomplete paperwork will delay participation.
